Time flies when your focused...

Wow... time sure does fly... it seems like it was January just yesterday.

Every year we all set certain goals and hopefully you were able to accomplish them.  I know there are all kinds of reasons for not achieving some of those goals... but really those "reasons" are poor excuses that your mind and subconscious mind have been conditioned to accept.
Your mind and subconscious mind are trained or conditioned to live the life you're currently living.

You may want to change, you may even try to change, but you fall into the same pattern of living because that's what your mind and subconscious mind are used to doing.  Your subconscious is really the engine that drives you - it's what makes things happen in your life. 

Your subconscious gets its instructions from the conscious mind. 
Those instructions are what you think and believe. You then take actions that reflect those thoughts - because that's what the subconscious mind thinks you want, so it compels you to take the actions that reflect your thoughts and beliefs. 

You will create what you think and believe.
So while you may want to change your life, your subconscious is used to following the old instructions, or your old thoughts and beliefs - until you change those - nothing will change It's really that simple.

What can you do?
Change the instructions. 
Change the messages you send your subconscious mind. 
Change your thoughts. 
Change your beliefs.
You'll then change your actions and start living the life you want. 

So far this has been a busy but productive year, but then again I say that every year throughout the year, that's just my attitude.  Have there been setbacks? Sure there has been!  But we are capable of overcoming all those setbacks and achieving magnificent things in our lifetime.

Now that half the year is over it's a good time to take a moment to reflect and be thankful for all those terrific things that have happened so far.

You may not be having a terrific year, but that's only because you're looking at what went wrong so far or what isn't working out.  Think about all the great things that happened, the people you met, the work you did, the changes that took place and the opportunities that arrived.

There are opportunities everywhere.

When you think about the positive things that happened and when you're thankful for those positive events, you attract more positive events and people into your life.
Focus on the negative things and you'll attract more of negative situations.

I know you want to enjoy a better life so start by being thankful of all the wonderful things that took place during the year.

Don't focus on the negative events or the setbacks. Know and believe that you will overcome those and achieve greater things in life - if that's what you focus on.
Your mind and subconscious mind are capable of doing and achieving wonderful things - all you have to do is direct them the right way. 

No matter what your situation, there are some positive and wonderful aspects... you just have to see them. Once you do that you begin to push your mind and subconscious mind toward creating a more positive and enriching life.

You may not be able to do this everyday, but if you can do it at least twice a week during the next year... you too will have a spectacular year.

Each night I give thanks for all the wonderful things in my life... 
and each day I wake up blessed with more wonderful things... 
I see them... and they arrive... you too can do the same... start today.

Remember... once you get your mind and subconscious mind working to create what you want... life will become easy, meaningful, and you'll enjoy tremendous success.

I hope you're having a terrific summer – now stretch yourself and make the rest of 2011 your best...

Remember if you don't do anything - if you don't change the way your mind works and direct your subconscious mind to create the life you want - everything stays the same - nothing changes.

Become a Positive Thinker

Become a positive thinker... and that means putting an end to negative thinking.  Positive thinkers have all the fun... they enjoy success, the enjoy life, and even when things don't quite workout they find a way and to push forward.

Why?

Because they have conditioned their mind to not accept nothing less than success.  They don't have the doom and gloom mindset where every little mistake or error is magnified.  They focus on the small successes and move past the little things that don't quite workout.

They don't get crippled by the cannots, they thrive on the why nots.
So become a positive thinker... you'll simply enjoy life a lot more.

Now if you are the type of person that always find the negative in everything, even when things are going good... I mean a chronic negative thinker don't feel bad.  First, you're not alone.  And more importantly, you can put an end to the negative thinking.

And in today’s blog, I'll show you how to be a positive thinker and control the negative thinking that's has been keep you from achieving you goals and being abundant. The best part is once you do this...you have to practice it until it becomes routine so it becomes permanent so that you always do the right things, walk tall, have a smile and get things done quickly and easily.

Start by Eliminating Negative Thoughts

Negative thoughts really have no purpose. They keep you from stretching yourself to your fullest potential.  They don't make you feel good and instead can often lead to anger, frustration, procrastination and will destroy relationships and make you miserable.

Now I know everybody has some negative thoughts from time to time (myself included), especially when people you love bring you their negativity.

But meaningless and negative thoughts, the kind where you worry for no reason, serve no purpose because they don't help you accomplish your goals and they just take your energy.
A mind filled with optimism and positive thinking is a mind geared for success and you will have a better chance of enjoying life on your terms.

So change those negative thoughts. Get rid of them and develop a positive and optimistic mindset. You need to have thoughts that help you achieve your goals, make you feel better, help you find solutions and allow you to enjoy the success you deserve.

For example: instead of worrying about what might go wrong think about what might go right. Think about how things could work out for you. Think about how you can improve your life, or try to find solutions.
When you do this you direct your mind and subconscious mind to regularly focus on the positive things that are going on in your life.

And you also instruct your subconscious mind to create more positive situations and more positive outcomes. When you do this regularly you develop a positive thinking pattern that becomes permanent - it's your new way of thinking and seeing the world (not to mention you'll enjoy life a lot more).

If you constantly focus on what could go wrong - you'll always create and attract negative situations... and what could go wrong will go wrong.

If you regularly focus on how things can improve, and when you constantly focus on positive things - you will attract situations and events that work out for you and you will attract more positive events and people.

Your subconscious mind will always create the situations and events that you regularly think about.  So start replacing those negative and useless thoughts with positive and constructive thoughts.

How do you change your thoughts?

At any point during the day whenever you have negative thought - catch yourself.  What are you thinking?  Are you thinking about the problem or trying to find a solution?  Are you looking at the positive side of that negative thought?

If you find you're having a negative thought, if you're looking at the worst in a situation, if you're focused on what could go wrong or already has gone wrong - then you need to change that pattern of thinking right away. 

Replace those thoughts with positive thoughts and work on a solution.  Pay attention to your thoughts. Recognize them and analyze them.

Then ask yourself: "Does this thought or belief work for me?  Does it help me?  Does it make me feel better?  Can I release this thought or belief?  Why not?"

If the answer is no - then you have to change it.  Write down the reasons why you can’t release, you’ll be surprise at what you find.  And now you can change the thought by simply thinking of the opposite or creating a new thought that helps you create what you want.

For example: If you're constantly thinking about why you're not good enough or why you can't achieve something - change those thoughts. Think about why you are good enough and why you can achieve something.

 At first you may have to push yourself to come up with reasons because you were used to making excuses and blaming others - but the more you do this exercise the easier it gets. And as you apply it regularly you'll find answers and solutions easily.

As you regularly think about why you can do something you'll start to believe that you can achieve that goal. The minute you begin to believe that you can do something your subconscious mind gives you ideas and suggestions to help you take action and creates the situations to help you achieve that goal.

It's that simple and extremely powerful.

Eliminating the negative thoughts has a powerful impact and will allow you to spring out of bed, walk around with a hop in your step and a smile on your face because you'll just be enjoying life.

Try it for a full week and see how you feel...

Your thoughts and beliefs are the fuels that drive your subconscious engine.
Feed your subconscious negative thoughts and negative beliefs and you'll stall your engine. 
That means you won't be able to get to your destination or achieve your goals.
Feed your subconscious positive thoughts and positive beliefs and actions– and you turbo charge yourself to success.

You can eliminate the negative thoughts.
You can begin to improve your life and achieve your goals.
Start eliminating those negative thoughts today one thought at a time.

Become a positive thinker... start today and you'll begin to enjoy what you see in the mirror...

Are You Willing to Stretch Yourself for Happiness

The Challenges is what makes victory even sweeter

It was a normal day like any other day.  Rose at 4 am to work out, meditate, and read something that will inspire me. Hopped in my car to put some time in at a well known non profit organization.  I enjoy my morning commutes.  It is the perfect time to practice being in the present moment and definitely not someplace where you can rush.  The best time to listen to a good audio book or music and watch other people try to make up lost time for hitting the snooze button.

What I wasn’t expecting was the loud bang as I was jolted from behind; the sound of screeching tires; the back end crumpled with the force of impact, thrusting two foot of metal into the back of my car. The steering wheel and dashboard exploded, smoke filled the car as I felt myself being thrown back and forth like a pin ball.  The metal of my car groaned like the final cry of a wounded beast and it slowly came to a halt.

After that all was silent. 

I knew I was lucky to be alive.  As I was pulled from the wreckage, there was only one thing on my mind…..Happiness.

I knew I was lucky to be alive. In the present moment when I laid in the car in smoked filled silence; I was NOT happy about it. 

Just got the car out of the shop; had a well known talk show celebrity come to Atlanta to work with me; everything was looking up.  Everything that I ever wanted or needed was manifesting at the right moment, and in two minutes came to a screeching halt.

But I was happy.

Happiness is an emotional state.  It’s good feeling that comes and goes.  Studies show that you are born with a preset default happiness level.  There are also ways to raise that default happiness level. My own happiness level is four hours of sleep, a good workout, good home-cooked meals, a night out with the amazing ones, dates with my girls, and seeing my clients achieve their success. 

Happiness is a feeling, but it is much deeper than that. Just think about the things that have made you happy and you realize that the things that made you happy probably came without a struggle. 

Matter of fact the things you should feel happy about are things you didn’t have to work for.  Just think about it!

But instead we think about all the things that are not easy to come by that make you stand up, become determined, fight through your fears, and overcome the struggles.  All the bad relationships, living your passion, starting a business, and just doing you, you had to claw, scratch and bite for the rewards.  But when you finally got what you were so determined to achieve, you were more than happy.  You were fulfilled.

When you understand this you will realize that sometimes in order to stretch yourself, you must be willing to be uncomfortable and take on the challenges of life during the process.       

Am I happy that was in an accident?  No.  It certainly throws a monkey wrench in a two car home that is primarily ran by my wife and the girls.  I’m not even sure how I am going to pull this off with the therapy, clients, and my regular routine.  It is definitely a struggle not being able to hit the gym.  

But one thing I can tell you by looking at my past challenges is that I will battle through this challenge and win, taking my life to the next level of success and abundance.   

And that my friends, makes me feel very happy indeed.

Success Begins Today!

January is almost over…WOW! ... Frankly I still can't believe that my calendar now says 2010...

With every New Year I always end up ripping a few checks simply because I forget to write the correct year... I already did it this year... putting in 2009 instead of 2010.

It will take a few times before I get it right and before my subconscious gets used to seeing, writing and reading 2010.

That's the way the subconscious works. When you want to remember something it takes a few tries before it gets the message. You have to repeatedly tell yourself: "No, not that... that's not what I want. I want to write 2010 (or what ever it is you really want).

The same approach is applied for our goals and changes that we want to make.

At first your subconscious doesn't quite get the message and automatically goes back to what is familiar. In my case it will be writing 2009 a few times before I get it right.

But with goals and changes that we want to make it could take more than a few days or a few weeks. That's because you've been doing things a certain way for longer than a year. In some cases you've been living a certain way, thinking a certain way and doing things that correspond with the way you live and think for years, possibly decades.

So getting the mind and subconscious mind to accept changes and attract situations that will help you succeed will take longer. And if you don't apply certain techniques, those changes could take decades or may never happen.

Why?

Because your mind and subconscious mind will revert back to what they know and what is comfortable with over and over again.

But if you take an active role, stretch yourself and apply the right techniques and get your mind and subconscious mind working for you - creating the changes you want - you'll enjoy success a lot sooner.

Now that we are four weeks into the New Year it's a great time to give yourself a fresh start, stretch yourself to achieve those goals and begin creating the life you want now.

It's not just about making a few resolutions that you may give up on in a few days or weeks.

This is about making a conscious commitment to create some real, lasting changes that will allow you to enjoy success in every area of your life.

If you want to get the right job - make this the year that it happens.
If you want to start or improve a business - make this the year that it comes together.
If you want to make more money - make this the year that you start generating more money.
If you to meet the right person - make this the year that you meet the man/woman of your dreams.

Focus on what you want.
Give your mind and subconscious mind the direction it needs - tell them the results you want and avoid focusing on the obstacles; only accept success.
Be willing to grow and learn.
Take action everyday to achieve your goals.
This is your life. It's a New Year and a chance for a fresh start - make this your best year ever.

So create beliefs that allow you to succeed.
Fill your mind up with positive thoughts.
Focus on your past and present success.

It doesn't matter if things haven't worked out in the past.
It doesn't matter if you haven't achieved all that you wanted.

You are at a new point in your life and starting today, you must decide right here and now to believe in yourself and believe that you can succeed... because the truth is you can do and be anything you want... but only if you believe in yourself.

Dismiss the negative thinking and limiting beliefs that say you can't.
Find out what your true values are… What do you REALLY Believe? What do you REALLY want?

Don't believe that you're no good - you're better than you think.
Fill your mind and subconscious mind with possibilities and positive messages everyday.

Let's make 2010 truly spectacular... and it starts today.
Take a moment to focus on all the positive things in your life.
Appreciate all the people in your life and all the people you meet everyday.
Remember -- you only get one life and one chance. Make the most of it.

Stop defeating yourself, stop limiting yourself. Create all the success in your life starting TODAY.
